Tom and family,
Sad to hear of your dad's passing. Your dad left a broad trail of influence and blessing, and will be greatly missed.
I well remember first hearing of your father from my dad, many years ago, when he would come home and share of quail hunting conversations he had enjoyed with Mr. Stephens.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I had known Fred for 61 of my 65 years. (that I remember) He was the last living contemporary of my mother Virginia (Gus) Rizan. My father Henry Jr. worked with him in the 40's 50's and until the early 60's when he passed away. My brothers worked for Stephens Engineering in the 60's. I was never so lucky. I met Joe Cable and Guy Brown, prior to their deaths. They were clients of My Grand Dad's H J sr. I remember Watching the WF 75th anniversary parade from Fred's corner office on the 7th floor of the City National Bldg. All the men grew beards. Guy Brown had a big roll top desk in my Dad's and Grand Dad's office. I remember the old green Century lap hull with RED TOP on the back.

I stopped by every few years and Visited with Fred. He gave me some good advice on running my own oil production company. He always had the time to stop and visit with me.

You are Lucky Lucky people to have had Fred in your lives!

My sincere condolences to every family member of Mr. Stephens. While I did not have the pleasure of meeting him in person, I do know that he was a very generous man and had a great love for his family and his community. His philanthropic heart will have a perpetual impact on countless people. It is rare to find a man who gave so much of himself for the betterment of others. I know he will be missed by many. Blessings.

Tom & Family,
I am so sorry for your loss but know you feel blessed with the long life Fred lived. He was always one of my favorites growing up. I will never forget all the steak dinners he bought me and the other meals shared at your house. I enjoyed our talks about high school and college football, history, and other subjects. He also introduced me to ranch life where I learned to build fence and somewhat ride a horse. Most of all I admired the way he treated and respected people no matter their social rank or the color of their skin. He always seemed to care for others. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
