I remember Richard as a hard working, fun loving co-worker and later he became my boss. His humor made working together fun. Lunches were always a priority when we worked together. When he would ask for sweet tea and the restaurant only had unsweet tea, he would always comment, "Oh, you only have diet tea?" That was Richard.

My condolences to his family and those closest to him.

I was fortunate to be able to have Richard twice as my manager at GSK. I have been with GSK over 13 years and can honestly say he was the best manager I have ever had! He inspired and touched my life in a way I'll never forget. I will always smile when t think of you, Richard!

I was lucky to have worked for Richard as part of his West Texas Roadhawgs team for about a year. Even after I moved on to other districts, Richard was someone I always gravitated towards at National or Regional meetings. He was a tremendous talent and had such a real, down to earth quality about him. His wit and sense of humor was second to none, and boy could he tell a great story. One of my lighter moments with Richard was in regards to the can of Red Bull he would consume every day during our field visits. I told him that the smell of Red Bull made me nauseas, so he was thoughtful enough to switch his energy drink to Monster the days he would ride with me.

I hope you never forget all the great times you shared with Richard. I am sorry for your family's loss.

I only knew Richard for a short time, but he is the one who took a chance on me and hired me to work for GSK. I learned so much for him, and his brain was always at work on how to help us improve and do our jobs better. His sense of humor was a delight, and I think of him fondly and cannot drive past many spots in the Midland/Odessa area without remembering the wise or funny comments he made when we were in those spots. I was privileged to have a glimpse of his valiant fight against his disease and his "never quit" attitude. Overall, I was honored to know Richard Moore!
