Patsy Barton Carr passed away peacefully in her sleep at Hospice of Wichita Falls, on October 6, 2017, in the presence of her sons, Thomas and Timothy Carr.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Lunnís Chapel with Ken Holsberry officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Family visitation will be from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday at Lunnís.

Patsy was born in Wichita Falls on October 20, 1929, the daughter of Thomas Pembroke Barton and Frances Cooksey Barton. As a child she moved often with her father, mother and three sisters, due to her fatherís career in the electrical construction business. Some of her more memorable homes were Mary Martinís dance studio in Weatherford, Texas, and Alamogordo, New Mexico, where she met many of the scientists working on the Manhattan Project in World War II. She was a graduate of the class of 1947 Granbury High School and Weatherford Junior College.

Patsy married Binion Carr, and they moved to Wichita Falls in 1950. She was active in the Womenís Forum and Edgemere Church of Christ. She loved to travel and to work in her flower gardens.

Patsy is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mary, Wanda and Peggy; her son, Binion Carr II.

She is survived by her sons and their wives, Tom and Nanci Carr; and Tim and Karen Carr; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
