Vona Mae Fisher, 92, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at the Burkburnett Cemetery in Burkburnett with Pastor Jeff White officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Ola Faye (Skinner) and Ray Webster, Vona was born on September 4, 1926, in Westminster, Collin County, Texas. After high school she married Darrell Fisher in 1944, before he volunteered to serve in the U.S. Navy and shipped out to boot camp in San Diego, California. Vona later joined him in San Diego working in retail and dry goods while there. When he shipped out to sea, she returned to live with her family for the duration. He became a farmer and livestock producer, and she was a full-time homemaker, mother and jack of all trades on the farm, doing whatever was required of a farm wife.

Along with her parents, Vona was also preceded in death by her son, Greg Fisher of Kalgary, Texas; her brothers, Billy Webster of McAdoo, TX and Dwight Webster of Atlanta, GA; and sister, Bette Campbell of Odessa, TX.

She is survived by her son, Mike Fisher of Wichita Falls; sister, DaRita Snow of Monroe, GA; many nieces and nephew; many grandchildren; and a few great-grandchildren, great-nephews and great-nieces in Georgia and Texas.
