Muriel Dean Miller, 88, passed away on June 29, 2017, in Wichita Falls.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 12:10 Monday, July 3, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wichita Falls, Texas. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
Muriel was born to Otis V. and Hazel (Miller) Lester, on July 17, 1928, in Grady, Oklahoma. She was raised in Grady, Oklahoma and graduated from Ringling High School in 1946.
Muriel married Cletus Folsom in 1946 and was widowed in 1949.
She moved to Wichita Falls and attended beauty school. She married Ray Likins in in Wichita Falls in 1951, and she was widowed in 1997.
She married J.W. “Bing” Miller in 1999. They spent their marriage traveling and enjoying their families. She was widowed in 2007.
Muriel lived her adult life in Wichita Falls, where she owned and operated a beauty salon for 67 years. She was still seeing long time clients until her death. She also loved gardening and cooking and was known in the family for her Thanksgiving dressing.
Muriel was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; sister, Cloieze Lester Dillard; brother, Jimmie Lester; son-in-law, Kenny Jordan; and grandsons, Scotty Crenshaw and Scott Humble.
Survivors include sons; Clyde Folsom and wife Brenda of Marietta, OK; Randy Likins and wife Cary of Wichita Falls, TX; and daughter, Clara Likins of Wichita Falls, TX; brother, Harold Lester and wife Pat of Courtney, OK, sisters; Betty Smith and husband Bill of Ringling, OK; and Donnie Hibbs and Richard Kidd of Wichita Falls, TX; grandchildren, Stacy and Glenn Nichols; Cody and Amy Likins; Lori and Michael Canada; Ashly and King Martin; Cole Likins, Michael Crenshaw, George Brosch, Katy Crenshaw; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons: Cole Likins, Glenn Nichols, King Martin Gage Tanner, Grant Tanner and Andrew Nichols.
Family visitation will be Sunday, July 2, 2017, from 4-5 p.m. at Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home, Wichita Falls.
