Carolyn Marie Foster passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Dr. Robert M. Castle officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Lunn’s.
Carolyn was born August 22, 1953, to the late Rosco and Helen Craft in Wichita Falls.
She received her early education from Booker T. Washington and later graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1969. She worked at SAFB with AAFES for 12 years. Carolyn also worked for Sauder Management Company for 15 years.
She was living in Tokyo, Japan, where she met Raymond Foster. They married June 19, 1975, and to this union three sons were born. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where she was a member of Mission I. On the pastor’s anniversary, Carolyn provided the cake for the reception. She also provided the donuts for the youth breakfasts. People loved Carolyn’s fried chicken, greens and block parties. She loved “to shop ‘til she dropped.” She also loved going to garage sales and collected antiques, china and ceramic roosters.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Rosco and Helen Craft; one son, Lamond Foster; one brother, Claude Scales, Jr.
She leaves to celebrate her life: sons, Ronald Cooper, Jr., Adrian Cooper, Raymond Foster, Jr. and Julius Foster; and Safonia Cooper (special daughter); grandchildren, Daeqwant, Rudolph, Arianna, Rudolph, Ronte Cooper, Devon Cooper, Tiffia Lee Cooper, Jordyne Cooper, Joseph Cooper, Jamella Foster, Ra’ Daujnea Foster and Deray Foster; three brothers, Emory Wilson, Roscoe Craft and Owen Craft (Sandra); two sisters, Glenda Waggoner (Marshal) and Rosemary Wilson; special friends, Johnnie Marie Sauder, Kerry Graham, Kim Womble, Jan Schaff, Delores Hicks, Janette and Melvin Alexander, Crosby Marks, Marion M. Bowen, III, LeRoy Davis (Godfather), Ruby Johnson (Godmother) and family and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
