John "Jack" Calvin Parker

John Calvin “Jack” Parker, 82, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Thursday, November 29, 2017 in Wichita Falls. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 02, 2017 at Lunn’s Colonial Chapel. There will be a visitation at 12:00 PM, prior to the service at Lunn’s. Burial will follow the service at Byers Riverside Cemetery in Byers, Texas under the direction of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home.
Jack was a veteran of the Korean War, where he earned the Purple Heart, and served in the United States Marine Corps. As part of his lifelong service for others, he served as a police officer on the police departments in Mesquite and Farmers Branch, Texas and in Whiteland, Indiana. He also worked as a regional sales manager for Case Corporation and Kubota Corporation. Jack was an avid Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys fan, and he enjoyed taking trips to Dallas to watch games. Jack loved to take family vacations, along with trips with his cousin Jimmy, and the Boldt family, where many great memories were made. Jack brought laughter and fun whenever he stepped into a room, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Jack is survived by his wife of 46 years, Debbie (Strutzenberg) Parker; his sister Mary Lapham; his children Steve Parker, Vicki Cox, John Parker, Stacy Hawkins; and his grandchildren Shaina Meeker, John Parker, Bayley Hawkins, Emma, Hank and Ayden Parker. He is preceded in death by his parents Jackson and Launa Parker.
