David Paul Fisher, 65, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2018, in Lunn’s chapel with Greg Stanford and Dr. Timothy Sweeney officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, at Lunn’s.

The only child of the late Mary (Ligon) and Paul W. Fisher, David was born on October 22, 1952, in Wichita Falls and resided here his whole life. He worked twenty years for Boyd Curtis Construction, served as a jailer for the Wichita County Sheriff’s office, and then pursued his life-long dream. In 1998, after graduating from Murray State College Gunsmithing School in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, David opened Fisher Gunsmithing. There he serviced countless firearms and made many life-long friends, who he proudly referred to as his “brothers”. David was an avid hunter, fisherman and lover of the outdoors. He was devoted to the entire family, which includes all of his friends.

Along with his parents, David was also preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his precious children, Cathy Diane (Curtis) Fisher.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Fisher; sons, Matthew Fisher and wife, LeAnn; and Michael Fisher and wife, Susan; and four step-children and their spouses. David is also survived by four grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Billy Curtis and wife, Kathryn, and two nieces.
